Some of our Etihad Campus students headed down to The National Football Museum for an Industry Experience Day.

The students visited the museum on Wednesday, March 29, and had the chance to hear from industry professionals, including:

  • Janine Ross - marketing and communications director
  • Laurie Bowe - venue sales manager
  • Christian Allen - community and public programme manager

Additionally, the students got the chance to look around the latest exhibition, ‘From Moss Side to Marseille,’ commissioned by Eric Cantona and executed by Michael Browne.

Throughout the day, there were lots of networking opportunities with the speakers, along with a chance to see the museum displays and even try the interactive penalty shootout.

One student on the visit was Hannah Scrimger, a BA (Hons) Football Business and Marketing student.

She said: “As a marketing student, I really enjoyed the employability and career planning trip to the National Football Museum and found the talks from the members of staff behind the scenes at the museum incredibly useful, not only expanding my wider knowledge of the industry but also for applying to and helping with my current assignments.”

“I also found looking around the museum and learning about their new exhibitions really interesting, as there is such a wide variety of art, information, and items on display, all related to football.

“Overall, an incredibly helpful and fun day out!”
