Several UCFB students at our Wembley Campus got the opportunity to work at the London Football Awards, supporting the media output from the ceremony.

The students helped with the social media side of the event, capturing content from behind the scenes and engaging content for those following the occasion online.

One of those who attended was Naim Mejdoubi Maymouni, a BA (Hons) Football Business and Marketing student.

He said: “It was an incredible experience. At the event, there were countless of footballing talents present, making it an exciting and vibrant atmosphere to work in.

“My primary responsibility involved managing and co-ordinating the London Football Awards' Instagram page. This included capturing and sharing behind-the-scenes content, as well as other engaging material for the audience.

“Working at the London Football Awards allowed me to develop valuable skills and gain practical experience in social media management within the sports industry.

“It also allowed me to take a deeper understanding of the importance of effective communication and engaging content, both of which are essential for success in this field.”

He added: “I have found my time at UCFB to be a rewarding experience so far. The institution offers numerous opportunities for students to get involved and make the most of their education.

“There is obviously a lot of competition, so you really need to put in the work and stand out to get the best experiences, and that is what I always aim for.”

The students were working alongside Gung Ho Communications on the night. A spokesperson said: “Having the students on board to support social media output and media liaison at the Awards was a real pleasure, and led to some great BTS content moments being captured.”

The awards, which celebrate the very best of footballing achievements in the capital, were held in mid-March and were attended by some high-profile talents of football.
