One of the volunteers, Holly Porter, a BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism student, said: “I feel very lucky to have been part of the 550 volunteers who helped to deliver the UEFA Champions League Final.

“It was great to be outside the stadium on the day, assisting fans with any questions, giving directions, and taking photos, whilst also enjoying the atmosphere that such an important event creates.

“The day was only made better by the team I got to work with. The enthusiasm and high-spirited nature of the group most certainly made the day one to remember, and it was great to make connections with so many like-minded people.

“I was also fortunate enough to be invited into the stadium on Friday to watch both Real Madrid’s and Borussia Dortmund’s last training sessions before the final.

“This, along with the entire UEFA volunteer experience, is something that I will never forget, and something that I feel incredibly proud to have been a part of.”

Fellow volunteer Lois-Rose Sarratt, who studies BA (Hons) Stadium and Events Management said: “Over the week, I was given the opportunity to watch Real Madrid’s training session which was amazing to watch!

“Talking to all kinds of people who help deliver the event from broadcasters to camera operators to hospitality staff, it was an incredible experience and the atmosphere was unbeatable!

“A massive thank you to our volunteer managers and the volunteer team, it was so nice to meet so many friendly people who all share the same passion with one another!

“Working along with fellow UCFB students was incredible, as well as students and people from all over the country, it was brilliant to show them around Wembley, especially Box Park!!!

“It was honestly one of the greatest weeks.”
