Following on from the recent National Student Survey, many of our students have been providing suggestions on how to improve their experience during their time at UCFB.

After receiving the survey results, we have listened and made some developments based on the feedback from students at both of our campuses.

This included changes on such topics as:

  • Library opening times
  • An increase in library resources
  • Greater access to career planning resources
  • The want for more female external speakers (and more guest speakers in lectures)
  • More access to the pastoral service, including out-of-hours support

The Student Support Team is available 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday. 

For students unable to access this during normal operational hours, we can sometimes facilitate meetings outside of hours. 

We also offer a flexible approach to how the meeting is conducted with options for in-person, Telephone and Teams meetings offered to suit the needs of the individual. 

In addition, UCFB offers 24/7/365 access to pastoral, wellbeing, legal and financial guidance through Health Assured’s Student Assistance Programme. 

This enables students to access immediate help when it is needed, day or night.
